Pablo Benitez, RCSWI

Pablo Benitez, MSW, RCSWI is a Florida Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern working under the qualified supervision of Lori Pink, LCSW, BCD. He maintains an active membership with the National Association of Social Workers.

Pablo earned a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Florida International University. As an MSW student, he was selected to become a fellow with FIU’s Community-Based Research Institute as part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training (BHWET) Program. Pablo is a graduate student at Florida International University pursuing a Ph.D. in Social Welfare. He is currently a fellow with FIU’s Center for Research on U.S. Latino HIV/AIDS and Drug Abuse. (LINK) His current research areas include health literacy and factors in health disparities among Hispanics and Latinos. Pablo has previously worked in research in service to the National Institutes of Health’s Community Engagement Alliance. (LINK)

As a practitioner, Pablo employs a diverse skill set to facilitate the well-being of clients in accordance with the National Association of Social Work’s code of ethics. (LINK) His primary focus is on the use of cognitive behavioral therapy, Socratic dialogue, and task-centered therapy to assist clients in improving their lives.  He has worked with clients struggling with addictions, anxiety, depression, and grief, among other difficulties in both individual and group settings.
