Pablo Benitez, LCSW

Hi, I’m Pablo, and I’m really glad you’re here.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Plantation, Florida, where I provide therapy for teens, college students, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, grief, and major life transitions. Many of the people I work with are balancing academic or work pressure, coping with loss, or feeling uncertain about the next step in their lives.

My approach is practical, collaborative, and grounded in mutual respect. I primarily use cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, Socratic dialogue, and task-centered approaches to help clients recognize unhelpful thought patterns, clarify goals, and take manageable steps toward meaningful change. I have experience supporting clients in both individual and group settings who are struggling with addictions, anxiety, depression, and grief, among other challenges.

Alongside my clinical practice, I maintain active membership in the National Association of Social Workers and am pursuing a Ph.D. in Social Welfare at Florida International University. My research focuses on health literacy and the social factors that shape health disparities in Hispanic and Latino communities. I was previously a fellow with FIU’s Community-Based Research Institute through the HRSA Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training Program and with FIU’s Center for Research on U.S. Latino HIV/AIDS and Drug Abuse. I have also contributed to research in partnership with the National Institutes of Health’s Community Engagement Alliance.

This blend of practice and research helps me stay connected to both the lived experiences of my clients and the larger systems that impact access to care. If you are looking for a supportive space to explore challenges and build lasting change, I would be honored to work with you.
